Find A Niche Online
Finding A Niche Online - Let’s Make This Simple
Many people speak of finding untapped niches online these days, but the more advice that is given out to small niche marketers online to dig for such gold, the less likelihood there is of anyone actually finding so called "untapped niches". It’s safe to say that almost anything that is profitable is already being marketed online.
However, it doesn’t mean finding a targeted niche is a pointless exercise, due to targeted niche markets being the most responsive to relevant product sales and all round marketing campaigns.
The core to every targeted niche is as follows -
1. Find a sub category of a product (i.e. left handed golf clubs instead of golf clubs)
2. Single out a specific segment of your potential buyer demographic (i.e. beginner golfers)
3. Market your entire business towards beginner golf players who are left handed
4. Collect regular cheques in the post
5. Rinse and repeat
Ok, a little basic it may be but those 5 points are the key to niche marketing. Here are a few more pointers to keep in mind -
Demand
Search the internet for typical terms your audience would type in. Take a look at the amount of competing websites for each term you use. If you are researching specific terms in this manner, make sure you put them inside quotation marks. For example:
"Left handed golf clubs for sale" instead of simply left handed golf clubs for sale.
This will ensure that the results only represent websites that are specifically targeting that exact phrase,
with the same words in the exact same order.
Don’t be immediately put off if there seems to be millions of competing websites. Just because there are millions of search results does not mean there are millions of direct competitors. This is a big misconception that I explain to my subscribers all the time. There are so many internet marketers out there that are providing false information like this that it can literally mean the make or break of a small niche marketers ideas and efforts.
Also be sure to check out the amount of paid advertisements. The more the merrier in my opinion, because this indicates a healthy and certainly profitable market. These people are all chasing something profitable - if it were not so, there would certainly not be as many advertisers. However, this type of research on paid advertisers cannot be a flash in the pan - you must monitor these advertisers for a few days at least.
Why?
Because they may be coming and going quicker than you think. If that’s the case, it tends to indicate that the market is oversaturated and more to the point - the products do not convert. Knowing which products do not convert however, can be very useful when developing your own
products or promoting someone else’s products as an affiliate.

Niches Explained
I’m sure if you’ve been around the internet marketing world for a while, you’ve heard the word "niche". This post will hopefully clear up any confusion you may have about the term, and get you started on your way to making a profitable income online with the proper niche.
First and foremost, what is a niche? To be exact in the offline world, a "niche" is something that you are good at. Something that you know about, and have a lot to offer on the topic. Let’s take Paula Abdul for example. She always tells the singers of American Idol they have "found their niche". What she means is they have found their calling, they have found what they are good at doing.
Now let’s take the word and make it make sense in the online world. When you have a niche online, it’s something that you revolve your websites, products, etc. around. Let’s say I had a website that teaches people how to make money with e-commerce. (If you don’t know what that is, click on the link…it will take you to a previous post about e-commerce websites). My entire website would be built around telling people and teaching people how to build online stores…hence, my niche would be e-commerce websites.
Another example: Let’s say I had a website about dogs. All my pages on the site would reflect information on dogs…thus, my niche would be…drum roll please….dogs.
Now let’s say I actually had an e-commerce website that sold picture frames. You guessed it, my niche would be picture frames.
The key to making money on the internet is finding the right niche, and profitable ones. You have to remember that no matter how good your site is, if it’s not properly optimized, and if the competition for your niche is high, your chances of ranking for the keywords of your niche are slim.
It’s important that you take the time to research your niche and find out how much competition you’ll have, how much the product or idea is in demand (meaning how much the product or idea is searched for, bought, or needed).
Now that you know what a niche is, you can start learning about finding profitable niches!
There is a new product that is about to launch that is a training course…in a nutshell, this product teaches you to research profitable niches, build an e-commerce niche site, and then make money by either running your website or selling it for a lot of money. One website the product creator made was about birdcages…he sold it for $173,00. I’m only telling you this because the potential is absolutey there, and the opportunity to learn the blueprint and get a 6 week solid training course is only available for a limited time.
